The last stop on the Europe tour that the Mr. and I went on a while back was London (see the first, second, third, and fourth stops here). We literally had less than 24 hours in the city so we had to make the most of it. The night we arrived we went for dinner and strolled around Piccadilly. Around 1am we met up with a friend and about 50 other fellow Canadian fans at a bar to watch the Stanley Cup playoff final round between Vancouver and Boston. When you’re that far from home, it’s an incredible feeling to be around so many Canadians and Londoners singing their hearts out to our national anthem. I never realized how many Londoners love and support Canada until that moment.

While that night was a late/early one we still had a city to see so we were at it bright and early and felt the laziest fastest way to see it all was on a double-Decker bus tour. After the tour we climbed to the top of St. Paul’s Cathedral and then met up with my cousin for some more site-seeing. I found that London was very similar to Ottawa (hmm I wonder why!) but it felt comfortable and very much like home in that way.
