5 Things I learned my First Year in Business

Hey there!

OneYear-15

In August my business celebrated it’s first anniversary – or as I like to call it, my first business birthday! At the time I was in full wedding/edit mode so I didn’t give it the recognition it deserved but now I’m ready to celebrate. My original plan was to hold a birthday party for my clients, friends and family complete with too much champagne, desserts and confetti. But after moving to our new condo that wasn’t the best decision financially so I had to come up with a more economical approach. That’s where the “party-in-a-box” came in! It was the perfect alternative to celebrate with everyone who helped shape my first year and to show my appreciation.

In this past year I have gone through so many ups and downs full of achievements and lessons learned. I’ve surprised myself with what I’ve accomplished and feel more motivated than ever for this second year. Its easy to forget certain milestones when you’re busy working so it was nice to take a look back to recognize everything throughout this year. It’s all those moments that have brought me where I am and will get me through the next chapter so I’m excited for everything that’s to come and to continue learning, growing and pursuing this wonderful passion.

Trusting someone to document a meaningful time in your life, whether it’s your wedding, your growing family or a significant event, is something that I don’t take lightly and I understand how important it is. Because of this I want to make sure all my clients know how much I’m thankful for their business and for their trust in me. I knew early on when starting this business that I wanted to make sure my clients felt appreciated. I wanted their experience from start to finish with me to be something they would remember and would make them feel special. To all those people who helped shape this first year, thank you from the bottom of my heart! I wouldn’t be where I am without you and even though it’s something little, I hope this mini party can show you how appreciative I am. And to all my clients in this second year, get ready, there’s lots more in store and I can’t wait to share it with you!

Cheers!

To make these party boxes so sweet I used products by these amazing vendors:
Custom Cookies – Hello Baked
Custom noise Makers – Fun Fiestas by ili
Paper Straws – Buttercream Dreams
Card/Infographic – Made by me :)
