To start, I’m sad to admit how late I am at posting this engagement session! But I figured it’s better late than never and it seems fitting on this hot, sunny day to escape back to those cool evenings at the start of December!
When they met over five years ago, neither of them could have predicted all the adventures they’d take together. Jessica moved to Calgary shortly after that meeting to complete her masters and just a few months later, Jeff was heading West to be with her. After that, they picked up and moved to Perth, Australia, to spend a year as expats. They traveled, explored their new city, and grew closer together. When that year was up and they returned to Canada they took a trip to New York City to see a Jimmy Fallon show (Jessica’s favourite!). which is where Jeff proposed when they were taking a walk through Central Park.
For their engagement session, they enjoyed the sunset at Cherry Beach and even though it was a little chilly, they were full of laughs and happy to cuddle up. Jessica was also excited to go to the Distillery District Christmas Market so we made our way there once the sun had set. The lights, sounds and that 40-foot tree made for the perfect backdrop to end off such a great evening. I cannot wait for these two to tie the knot in Muskoka this summer!
I’m all for my couples incorporating their hobbies and interests into their engagement session, but since I grew up supporting the Ottawa Senators, I was afraid my parents would disown me after they saw these photos!
