Hey there!

Back in the day, the Mr and I went to Bermuda as our second trip together. We went for a five-day long weekend to relax and explore the beautiful pink-sand beaches. We were drawn to Bermuda because we both wanted a mini-getaway that wasn’t too pricey but also wasn’t the typical all-inclusive Caribbean trip. While the flights to Bermuda are super cheap, once you’re on the island that’s a whole other story. We were lucky to find that my now father-in-law had an old Cricket buddy who opened a bed and breakfast type condo in Bermuda so we were able to stay there for a great price. It came with it’s own kitchenette and private pool(!) and was steps to the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen, Horseshoe Bay. We rented a scooter while there as that’s the main way to get around the island (you’re not allowed to rent a car as they’re trying to reduce traffic on the island – and you really wouldn’t need it considering there’s one highway and you can drive the whole island in six hours).

The trip was the perfect balance of relaxing and exploring. We took the scooter to the caves in St. George, walked through the capital, Hamilton, partied in Sandy’s Parish with the cruise-goers, and relaxed on the beaches along the south coast. All-in-all it was a great trip with even better company and was just the beginning of our travel adventures together.
