A couple years ago my best friend and I took a tour around beautiful Costa Rica. It is by far one of the most amazing countries I’ve ever been to and a place to always provide an adventure. With the adrenalin going we set off on a two week trip that started in La Fortuna near the Arenal Volcano, up to the cloud forest of Monteverde, over to the west coast to Manuel Antonio and then finished off in the capital, San José. We packed in a lot and each area gave us a completely different and exciting experience.
One of my favorite moments of the whole trip was zip-lining through the cloud forest in Monteverde. It’s something that photos and even video can’t help to describe. We were hundreds of feet in the air climbing trees and flying down the man-made lines. The last line we went on was 2000 feet long and it took both of us hooked in together to provide enough weight to get across it. That moment of being in the middle of the line, so far above all the trees, looking out at the gorgeous country, just screaming our lungs off was AH-mazing! Sigh! Can I go back?
