Cottaging is a pastime many Canadians know well. Outside most cities you can take a two hour drive to some of the most picturesque landscapes around. I never grew up with my own cottage but I was fortunate enough to have a close friend who had the best cottage around! It’s been a while since I’ve been so when we decided to rent a cottage a couple weekends ago it reminded me of how amazing cottaging can be. Even in the winter, it’s so nice to be outside with nature and unplugged from technology. The days go by slowly and you have time to just sit around and chat with friends, play card games, sip on caesars, walk on frozen lakes and hike the trails.
