I love when couples decide to have photos taken to document a special time in their lives. And I especially love when they incorporate places or things that are meaningful or part of their normal routine. That’s exactly what Tammy and Ash decided to do for their engagement session. Their dog Max is such an important part of their lives that he had to be included and what better place to take him than Cherry Beach dog park. (I frequently take Bella there and it is a slice of doggy heaven no matter the season). This amazing pair rescued Max when they were on their first trip together to Dominican Republic. They’re not really sure what type of dog he is but say he’s a “mutt of everything”.
After Cherry beach we went closer to home and took a walk across the pedestrian bridge, The Puente de Luz (Bridge of Light). It’s become an iconic bridge in the city and the colours and location make it a perfect spot for photos. In keeping with the meaningful locations, we then went to Baldwin Street to the restaurant where Tammy and Ash had their first date. Unfortunately, the name of the restaurant had changed but it was still a memorable moment and fun to carry out a walk through memory lane. These two were a joy to spend the afternoon and night with and I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to photograph (and a better dog too!) Congrats Tammy and Ash!
