Jessi and Lee met at the infamous bar in Kanata, Crazy Horse. Jessi was the designated driver of the evening and her best friend convinced her to dance with a guy they had just met. In his drunken state, Lee needed to make an impression and ripped off his shirt, hulk style, so Jessi would remember him! His approach must have worked because Jessi went out with him again and they quickly fell in love. These are two people who are perfectly perfect for each other and all their friends and family can see it – Lee’s friends and family adore Jessi and her’s adore him. I got to witness this first-hand at their wedding where each guest, family member and friend had nothing but amazing things to say about them. Their wedding was held at Evermore Weddings and Events in Almonte overlooking acres of farmland. They chose to do a “first-look” by an incredible willow tree and then took wedding party photos before their ceremony so that way they could spend cocktail hour with their guests. Their ceremony was personal and fun. Jessi’s long-time friend sang Marry Me as she walked down the aisle and before their first kiss as husband and wife, each guest was given a glass of champagne to toast the newlyweds. The reception that followed was full of laughs, tears and crazy dance moves.
It could have been the ridiculously gorgeous views, or the elegant, vintage and rustic details, or the non-stop laughs from their wedding party, or maybe it was the speeches that left everyone in tears but this wedding took my breath away. It was an incredible honour to have captured it and to have Jessi and Lee as friends. The biggest congratulations to the two of them!
A unique and sentimental detail was that Jessi’s engagement ring and wedding band were made with diamonds passed down from both her family and Lee’s.
During the reception they enjoyed an incredible dinner by Salt Ottawa and an unbelievably beautiful dessert table and cake by The Cake Whisperer.
Right before sunset we snuck away to take photos with that incredible view!
